Should I start an LLC or a corporation?

Choosing between an LLC and a corporation depends on the type of business that you want to run. LLCs offer more flexibility, pass-through taxation, and fewer requirements in terms of record keeping. Corporations, on the other hand, have a more complex structure, but are able to raise capital by selling stock, and have more potential for long-term growth. Before starting your business, you can learn more about the differences between LLCs and corporations on our website.

Can I change my business structure later?

Yes. If you started with an LLC, but you want to attract investors, issue stock, or expand your business, it may be worthwhile to convert to a corporation. Inversely, if you start by forming a corporation but want to gain more management flexibility and avoid double taxation, you can benefit from switching to an LLC. Our team can help you convert your business type and provide the new legal documents.
